Please recognize that pottery is an art, and clay can be a fickle beast; I cannot guarantee that your pieces will come out the way that you envision, or that they will survive all the stages of the making process.

Studio Rules:

  • Students must be 14 or older. We make some exceptions for younger students who enroll in the course with a parent (but please reach out to us before registering, if this is the case. You may email us at theresa@thebluelotuspottery.com).
  • Cone 6 clay only in the studio unless otherwise approved by a teacher. Lower fire clay may ruin our kiln and other student’s work.
  • Only pieces created during class or open studio time will be fired, unless otherwise arranged with the instructor.
  • Any work left behind for more than 30 days may be discarded without notice.
  • Do not sand pieces inside, as this releases particulates in the air.
  • No loading, unloading, or otherwise handling the kilns by the students.
  • You must clean your space and put away all tools before leaving for the day.

REFUND

I understand that life can be unpredictable and plans may change. In order to ensure fair access to the limited class spaces for all students I have implemented the following cancellation policy:

MULTI-WEEK COURSES

If you notify me at least 7 days prior to the class start date, I will issue a refund. If you contact me after the 7 day cutoff I can only refund you if I fill the spot.

A 15% refund transaction fee will apply for all course cancellations.

Any missed classes will not be refunded, however, I will allow ONE make-up session during open studio time. Please note that this session will not include the same level of hands-on guidance as the regular classes.

ONE-TIME CLASSES OR WORKSHOPS

If you notify me at least 72 hours prior to the start of class, I will issue a refund.

A 10% refund transaction fee will apply for all booking cancellations.
Missed classes will not be refunded.

We appreciate your understanding as our studio has limited spaces.
