Born and raised in Vernon, Michigan, I’ve always felt deeply connected to this community. Having been away for many years, I've dreamed of sharing my passion for ceramics with my hometown, and now, that dream is a reality.
With over 16 years of experience shaping clay, my journey as a ceramic artist has been an exploration of form, color, and texture. After immersing myself in the vibrant pottery scene of North Carolina and Kentucky, I've returned home to Michigan, inspired to bring my knowledge and love of ceramics back to my roots.
At my studio, The Blue Lotus Pottery, just on the edge of Vernon and a short drive from Flint or Lansing, I offer pottery classes for all levels. Whether you’re a seasoned potter or a curious beginner, I believe everyone has the ability to create beautiful functional art.
My work is all about playfulness - from the whimsical glazes to the unexpected shapes. I believe pottery should be more than just an object; it should be usable art that brings joy to your everyday life. Each piece I create is designed to add a touch of beauty and character to your space.
